The best time of the day to post articles on your blogs?
It’s always a great idea to respond to reader questions as best you can. BigPappa of The Big Bald Blog – Impact Marketing Technologies asked some questions in the comments section of this article. I’m going to integrate BigPappa’s questions into today’s article!!
Do you think that you need to post at the same time every day? Well, I try to post early in the morning. I don’t always post at the exact same time each day, but I usually try for about 350am or 450am. I time stamp my posts and set them to publish nice and early. (I post every other day.)
Do you think that there is a better time during the day to post? I try to post early in the morning. Most bloggers will need to make their own determination about what time they should post each day. But I have noticed that many of my readers tend to check my blog in the morning between 5am and Noon. This is not always the rule every day; on the weekends I notice more visits in the afternoon and evening than in the morning. I would say it’s best to try to publish your new posts in the morning as early as possible. This way, when your readers check their feed readers, your new post will be all ready for them first thing in the morning.
I wonder if there are any studies available on this. To be honest, I don’t know if there are any studies on this matter. I’ll see what I can find out for you about that. This post will be part of Darren Rowse’s 31 Days to Building a Better Blog group writing project, so I would like to encourage anyone reading this post to please leave any pertinent information in the comments.
Analyze the times your readers visit your inspiring blogs! I would like to add some of my own input to this post. I use SiteMeter. SiteMeter is a very good site tracking application. I have noticed that on many days, I receive numerous visits in the morning, particularly between 5am and Noon, but this does not hold true for every day. The pattern of visits is different on weekends, when most visits occur in the evening. Some days during the workweek I will have more visits in the afternoon than I do in the morning. To accommodate most of my readers, I like to post nice and early, around 4am or so.
