It’s No Coincidence That BLOG Has Four Letters and WORK Has Four Letters
Anyone that writes their own blog realizes it’s no coincidence that BLOG and WORK are FOUR-letter words lol.
A blog is a lot of work. Make no mistake about that. Blogging is fun and can be rewarding but it is a tremendous amount of work. Like money, blogs don’t just grow on trees. You gotta work HARD for success in money and in blogging.
You need to study, study and STUDY as many blogs as you can. You must learn MARKETING. You must learn BUSINESS. You must learn NETWORKING. You must learn WRITING. You must learn to sell people on your IDEAS. There are many other things to be learned in order to succeed as an A-List blogger.
You must be willing to study and work very hard and most importantly, PERSISTENTLY and CONSISTENTLY in order to achieve blogging success. Even more important is this personal attribute known as ENTHUSIASM. IF you have enthusiasm and passion, you’re already way ahead of the pack. Enthusiasm will propel you into the stratosphere at the best of times. In the worst of times, when you really want to throw not only your blog but also your computer out the window then smash ‘em into smithereens with a sledgehammer, enthusiasm and passion will see you through EVERY TIME.
I was mulling over everything I could think of about blogging, and everything I have ever learned about blogging yesterday after I had finished working out and I was relaxing in the hot tub. I realized that to run a blog is a heck of a lot of work. Then I thought about how that can seem like hell at times, especially when life threatens to overtake my blogging. BLOG=WORK can be HELL lol. It’s no coincidence that blog and work are both four-letter words.
Perhaps I worked out too hard lol. But I reflected that while I enjoy blogging, it can be a lot of hard work and that my schedule can make blogging hellish at times.
The more I blog, the more I realize I need to learn. I realize this when I look at all the first-class blogs out there that I enjoy reading every day, blogs like Problogger.net, Skelliewag.org, Copyblogger, ChrisG, Dosh Dosh, and Entrepreneurs Journey, to name just a few. There are many, many others. These bloggers illustrate many qualities I strive to learn more about.
